Love my sleep mask

I love my sleep mask. I did find the instructions a little unclear initially but after a few days playing with the device I figured it all out. Probably my fault. If you have difficulty stick with it. It’s worth it.

OK, but...

I ordered a Drift Audio Sleep Mask and Headband, and have given both a good try. The sound quality is good, and is easy to adjust with the Drift Audio app.

The headband is good; it stays in position and is 1000% more comfortable than the single earbud I used to use - I can roll over and sleep on it!

Sadly, the sleep mask is a disappointment - it's bulky, and the position of the elastic makes the mask slip upwards, which pulls the bottom edge of the mask to the top of my forehead and the speakers away from my ears.

Good product, a few flaws

I love the concept of this mask. I bought it to listen to sleep stories while falling asleep, without bothering my spouse, and it does do that. The materials feel high quality and it’s well-made. Setup through the app was simple, and it’s very easy to control.

However, the mask is bulky and doesn’t breathe well which makes my face and head feel very hot, making sleeping difficult and ultimately waking me back up. The bulk also makes it less than ideal for side-sleepers like me, causing the eye cups to smash into the side of my face (which also adds to the discomfort caused by overheating). The speakers, while thin, can be felt while side-sleeping, but not in a painful way. Adjusting speaker placement is a little tricky, and having the speakers even slightly out of place causes the sound produced to sound tinny and low-quality. But when placed just right, the sound quality is fine (though as mentioned, the speakers can be felt more).

Overall the Drift Audio Sleep Mask is a good product, though due to these minor design issues it may be best-suited for people who sleep on their back or those who aren’t sensitive to overheating.
